I'm with you on this one Zeke.  Not too sure I could do justice to the next round of recipients.  But would love to try if I wasn't so darn far from y'all.

Thanks for keeping it up top.  I can't wait to see the whole bushel of blades these artisans have put together.

I am liking your ideas Tippit, of all the winners forging up next years batch.  Would be a great reason to get a group of us together.

Oh, but i am not sure about those pants you all are wearing.  I saw them first hand.  Thank goodness they weren't my size.

I think thats a great idea, however, I would have to do some serious planning to make it down from Alaska. But I really would be proud/pleased to work with some of these great bladesmiths.

What would you think of a "Twister Forge In" at the Tennessee Classic next spring?  Maybe we can get Rob and/or Don to bring up a forge and an anvil and set up a shop for the weekend?

I think it would be awesome...however with a young family and a job that requires extensive travel may be difficult for me to make it from Idaho, but I would be very happy to try to find a way to get there from Idaho.  When is the Tenn. Classic?

I'm not sure of exact dates - last weekend in April or 1st of May I think??  It is just northwest of Nashville TN by about 1/2 hour.

With just a little bit of planning I'll bet we could put up any Twisters who need to fly in. So no need to worry about camping gear.

Happy July 4th.  I just talked with Kenny (4runner) and he is finishing up Melissa's knife with some pretty spectacular spalted oak slabs.  He'll post pictures when finished.  I said since this is more a kitchen/camp knife that a sheath wouldn't be necessary...but Larry said he be glad to do one if Melissa wants one.  So it's up to Melissa to decide...tippit

Good stuff guys.  Can't wait to see the whole group of knives that come out of this.

Deer season starts this weekend around here, though my newborn won't allow daddy to partake just yet I can't wait to field dress a California critter with a twister knife!

Man I love spalted woods!  Can't wait to see that knife completed.  Heck I can hardly stand the wait to see them all completed!

This is good stuff!

Who has the names of all the folks' that are getting knives?

The Wilson's are visiting here with me this week.  So I need to get in touch with Jeff Springer, Joe Lasch, and Rob Peeler to see if we can assign names to the knives.  So far I have 6 of the 12 (I think it is 12 knives going out).  I believe Rob sent Joe another 3 knives for scales and Don has 2 that he brought down to show me that were recently forged.  I know that Jeff sent Kenny the one for Melissa to put on scales.  So that accounts for 12 knives.  Since the Wilson's are here, maybe Chloe Beth Wilson can be the "name picker" and we'll start assigning names to knives.

I have 3 sheaths done, and with the 3 I just received, Don and Skyler are going to help me with some sheath making.  With what I've seen so far with the quality and workmanship of the knives, everyone is going to be more than pleased.
