Went on my first outfitted hunt on June 1-10 , wall tents horses way back in the Clearwater mountains of Idaho.I have to say it was great had a good time with good people.I hunted with RidgeRunner outfitters and will be going back for sure not only for the bears but for the fishing later this summer. We lost several days to the weather and some of the roads were just gone.I will say if you aint ready for this type of a rugged place it might send you home so get in some shape.Im not going to be long here so on this hunt I am shooting a 90s Bear TakeDown that I bought from a Tradgang member , on the first bear a 1964 Razorhead was used and the second one a Simmons Treeshark did him in.The limbs on this bow are RoseOaks that pull 66# @ 30 for me and shooting a 780gr carbon arrow. My frist bear was shot from the ground at 27yds and he was down in less than 30yds second bear was also from the ground and was a 16yd shot he ran about 50yds the fell down a mountain about another 100 or so , I got my entire hunt on video and meet some great guys and just had a good time , they say my first bear was the largest that the outfitter has ever had taken and my second was a great bear also ( I was the first Trad hunter they have ever had in camp ) he said he had never seen a blood trail like the one the ol TreeShark left behind ( heart shot ). Any way here is some pics will do a good write up later.
