I've hunted with longbows in 66" and 68" from ground blinds and only had 1 or 2 minor problems mostly my fault. Been hunting longbows about 25 years now. I do not climb trees period.

Never hunted from a treestand or groundblind with a bow that long but I did take a rabbit with a 68in Martin Mountaineer 60@28.

It was nice for stalking because the shelf was at perfect resting height for my hands. I could keep my hands on the bow while it rested on my foot comfortably.
Just one more step please!

68" over this way, I just cant it over more when I need to. Kneeling down not a problem. I've played around with some shorter ones. Played is the key word in that phrase. 64"s is only 2" shorter on each end and has not been a prob for me.

Both of my two recurves are 66" in length and I've hunted with both from the ground and from tree stands. I never had a problem with each situation with either of my bows.

I will admit, I prefer to hunt at ground level. I'm afraid of heights.

At ground level I can kneel on one knee, draw, anchor and shoot and not have the bottom limb touch the ground when the bow is totally vertical (straight up) in the 12 o'clock position, not canted.

i have both 66" (mohawk) and 70" (hill tembo) longbows.  the 66" is very very marginal for me in a tree stand.  62" is the most i'd want to have up a tree - less is definitely better, and for a longbow that means a way short, aggressive snake limbed longbow!

64" and 66" both work well, not awkward at all for me. Both in a tree and off the ground.

I have used 64, 66 and 68. I guess  it is someting you just get used to, but after you do it is nto on your mind, you just go hunting.  last year shot a doe with a 66 inch longbow on the ground, but had that bow in a tree and was not bothered by it.

LB's only over 66" ntn for 35 years in treestands, stalking, pitblinds & groundblinds w/o problems. Favorites are 70" ntn. Never hunted out of an enclosed GB such as Dbl Bull. Not so limited by the sweet pull of a longer bow as much as confines of any domed enclosure. Quick adjustment period by stumpshooting.

Tree or ground...only 68" longbows for me.  No problems at all.  You need to be aware of any limbs etc.  but that's just stand preparation.

68" cost me a shot at an Elk one time but I'm only 5'8". I keep my bows 64" and shorter now for hunting. I think a guy 6' plus in height would have less issues with the longer bows. I sure do like to shoot them though.

I hunted elk with a 66" longbow and never wished for a shorter one. I found if stuff was in the way of  the 66" than any bow much longer than 58" was going to have problems as well. But in a man made blind, well, maybe things are different then, but no experience using those.

I have taken deer from the ground with a 66" longbow but I don't much care for trying to hunt with it.  Doesn't help much that I'm only about 5'8" on a good day.  Being a smaller guy makes it kinda hard for me to maneuver the bow around the woods and the tree but I can do it. The only reason I keep the bow is because it is a really sweat shooter.  I feel bad for not getting it out and shooting it.

Just started shooting a 64".  I am 6' tall so that may have something to do with it but there does not seem to be a problem.... ground or tree.

I do practice a good bit shooting from different positions so that might be a big factor....

I have never hunted from a tree stand but have taken a bunch of game from the ground, often in thick cover with longbows 66" - 68" in length.
Just what your use to  I guess ... i don't feel 'right' hunting with "D" longbows under 66" or R/D longbows under 64 " ..... they just don't shoot as well for me. YMMV
