PBS Bow Raffle Supporting the Youth Hunt
« on: June 17, 2011, 11:46:00 AM »
When entering a raffle, the first thing to contemplate is the organization running the raffle. Professional Bowhunters Society is a fraternal organization with the same high moral and ethical values as contributors to this site. The second thing to contemplate and probably most important is the “cause” that will benefit from the proceeds. These proceeds will go to the NUMBER ONE problem facing the continuation of bowhunting – lack of young hunters. These dollars will be spent on the Young Bowhunters Program and the Youth leadership Hunt.

Do I look at raffles in this manner? H-NO!!! I want to see what I can win!!! And this is a pretty good list of donors. PLEASE TAKE A SPECIAL LOOK AT THESE DONORS AND SUPPORT THEM IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. THEY ARE DONATING THEIR TIME AND MONEY FOR THIS SPECIAL CAUSE. SOME ARE OLD STANDBYS, BUT OTHERS ARE NEWER TO THE COMMUNITY AND I THINK BODES WELL FOR OUR FUTURE. MY HAT IS OFF TO THEM!!!

"Donors listed in alphabetical order.  Winners will be drawn in that same order July 17, 2011 at 3PM, Need not be present to win."

This is a really worthwhile cause. Adam was fortunate enough to go on the Youth Hunt in UT 2 years ago. I got to carry the bags............it was extremely well put together. 10 youths vey professional guides, 4 star meals, spike camps, workshops on ethics, map and compass, shooting and tuning, legal stuff, and great hunting. Three of the youths killed Elk! I bought some Raffle Tickets too..............here's the bow I won!

Schafer LB 60" and 51@28 Rosewood riser Olive Burl dyed to match the riser.

On with the third mistake - The Rose Oak is a Prowler "Shadow Series" 3 pc TD Recurve.  I did get the length and poundage correct.

Tickets would be a steal for just a chance at one of those bows, let alone a chance for all of them at the same time!!!!

OK, one more mistake. I don't have this completely figured out. It concerns the Robertson and I can't get in touch with them by phone or email. The bow they donated was sold by mistake. Soooo, I think what they'll do is figure the dollar value of that bow and deduct it from what ever the winner wants.
When I find out for sure I'll reprint the whole list. Don't think there will be any other mistakes.

Sorry again!!!

Worth a bump for kids!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
