The word "best" is subjective. There are alot of good string maker sponsors, both fast flight and dacron, that advertise on Trad Gang and they all have their fans on here.

One of them is Chad Weaver, who is a sponsor here on TG and who goes by the username of LBR, of Champion Custom Bowstrings. Chad made me what I "wanted" which wasn't a skinny string.

           http://www.recurves.com/bowstrings.html

I like strings with more strands in them. Chad made me what I wanted for my 37# recurve and I wanted a 62" flemish style 2 bundle 12 strand Dyna97 fastflight bowstring with the flemish loops padded to 18. Since I shoot aluminum arrows installed with Easton Super Nocks, I chose 62XS for the serving material with a diameter of (.025). This gives me a good nock fit, not too tight and the serving material is very durable.

With the number of strands that I chose (12) along with the number of padded loops (18), when I adjust the brace height either up or down, every 1/2 twist of the bowstring is the equivalent to 1/32" in distance. This allows me to really fine tune the brace height.

I will order again from Chad in the future.

Oliverstacy (Josh) makes all of mine these days and I couldn't be happier.

I've been shooting SBD strings. Nothing but good things to say about them.
