New to me Bow Day! Bear Polar Recurve
« on: June 18, 2011, 07:32:00 PM »
I invited my brother out for dinner on Friday and he says Happy fathers day bro! A guy owed him some things on a trade he made ( he should be on Pawn Stars) and this bow was part of the deal! It is a early 60s Bear Polar 66in 48@28 recurve the thing is almost mint! Riser is gorgeous (bubinga and Zebrawood) and has never been tapped etc! I strung it and set it up and flung a few woods & carbons thru it the bow is real smooth and accurate with either type of arrow!

Congrats!
I have a couple of them, and was real pleased at how snappy the shot was, it has great cast. One of the prettiest bows out there, if you ask me.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Nice, I love them bows. Of all the ones I had and sold one that I would like back is a #47 Polar.
