All I can say about the lil bastardo is it's a good thing U. Barry, Charlie, Bill Terry and Kip took a swing at him or else he might have kept Doc and me down for the count!!  "[dntthnk]"  I am going to stick with cold beer from now on...

Good reading from beginning to end! Thanks for sharing guys. Looks like a hunt that ALL Tradgangers would love to be on. Sure would be nice to see a list of all the bow/arrow and broadhead set-ups that you veterans decided on.   :thumbsup:    :notworthy:

We having been having trouble with the video so I will post my final comments now. I am not sure if the video will ever surface except on my personal DVD's.

Some of the things that made this hunt extremely special were;
1. I had the hat on my girls got me when the went with their grandma to NC.
2. I had the Case bowhunter engraved knife my father-in-law gave me in my pocket.
3. "The Golden One" Larry Surtees filmed the hunt. As usual, everything he is involded with turns to gold, if I may quote Chris Kinslow. This allowed me to bring the hunt home to my family.
4. This hunt was a thank you from my wife.
5. This was my very first big game animal with a bow after years and years of shooting, hunting and just plain trying.
6. I was able to hunt with people I very much look up to in trad bowhunting.

Thanks to Tom and all the other guys for the great memories.

Come on Charlie, cough up the 5 bucks.  We'd love to hear more!

To take part in a Bear Quest camp is a special experience.  To have taken your very first big game animal at Bear Quest?  I can't imagine a more special experience than that!  I sure wish I could have been there to watch you float around the cabin that night!

These stories, from the very first BQ, make my face hurt from smiling so much...   :)

To actually participate in something like that would be a dream come true for an old "stay-near-home" hunter, but 'wish in one hand..and...' as the saying goes.  :rolleyes:

My sincere thanks to all who take the time to present these tales, pics and vids so that the rest of us can participate vicariously!

THANK YOU!   :)     :thumbsup:
