Thats a big looking bear right there.  Cool pic Michael!

Glad to hear week two had some luck as well.

CK

I wouldn't wager a guess on the stand site because other than the Resurrection stand they all appear basically equal. Any one of them could produce a big bear.

I've read these stories every year faithfully, and the exploits of big Tom hauling several hundred pounds of dead weight on his shoulder, but if that's him, and that bear is as big as it LOOKS,  I ain't call him nuttin but "MR." from here on out!   :scared:
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Well I just got throught the rest of this thread.  Congrats to you all on a great trip.  I really enjoyed reading about everyones adventure and seeing all the great pics.

And this thread only reinforces my desire to get a tracking dog like Tilly some day.  Every outfitter should have one or two imo.

A little cold packed bear meat!

A bit of Kip's cajun seasonings, onions and a teaspoon of salt. Boil for 3 hours and there ya go! Gonna make some excellent bear stew for our fall deer hunt!

My son and I just got in, La Tuque to WV is a looong ways ...around 2500 miles round trip on the tripometer. We had a great time . My son said the "top two of my life so far" !! Our  hunts were great , great outcome , 2 sows (115 #  and 117# out of the Bird) I got to see Eli shoot his first bear sunday night. He did great...half draw, she looked at us and he froze. she went broad side , he drew and shot ....it looked a  little far back as she was taking a step but bloody arrow as it was a pass though. Death moan in a minute.Very easy blood trail to follow. I'm very proud. I shook more than him. Thanks to all the other hunters for making this hunt a great time. And especially to Tom and Bowdoc. They make the experience unforgettable , thanks again.

Chad
