Well, I shot today at this elusive caribou, figured I wouldnt have a milk jug to make any adjustments to the shot,(the deep hook helped)

Shot the first arrow(and the second & third) a big 4(2x)=8+0+0=8TOTAL.

I didnt lay on any rocks but had to squint in the durn sun which made things more life like...

I think the only way I want to see em is pulling Santa's sleigh around Dec 24th

yikes...

Hard to manage shot.

I tried everything I could think of to keep that arrow on the shelf.

My nocks just don't grip that tight. Probably doesn't help to have 200grs hanging out at the tip either. I tried building the serving up, shooting with an "Indian" grip on the string so I could push up with my thumb...notta. The string just wants to turn in the nock.
I'll have to remember not to try to hunt with this shooting position in mind..lol

Congrats to those who can do it!

Here's pics. I'm throwing this one to sheer luck. During practice they weren't good, and when I tried after they weren't good either.   :dunno:

Well, here's mine:

First shot was a 8, second a 6, third a 4. So I think that's a 26. It was total luck.  The first two had horrible flight.  On the third shot, I switched from my Bigshot glove to a Damascus glove and got tons better flight.

I did try to shoot an arrow off the opposite side of the bow and promptly launched it over the target and into the garden.

Can I suggest that from here on, we pick shots that we would actually use in the field?  I don't think there is one of us here who would shoot at any living thing while laying on their back. I'm not saying this wasn't a fun exercise, but let's face it, other than for trick shots, it's not very practical. I hope this doesn't sound too "jerkish".  I do think that these shoots can open people up to some different useful positions that they maybe haven't used before, but this one is one of those that I would never attempt, or even suggest someone attempt, no matter what their skill level.

Sorry, I was hoping Zradix would take it. The first few folks raised the bar pretty high. I feel like practicing unusual shots makes us better at the more conventional shots.

Anyway, again, I'm sorry. Hope nobody throughs thier back out or something. And no, you don't sound "jerkish".  :)

Well, I practiced all I wanted; I used Mudd's "deep hook"; advice and tips from "moebow, McDave,Javi and others from The Shooter's Forum; and then I let them fly. Looks like a 36. First arrah 10 second arrah 8 and finally another 8. Truth of the matter is that I must be lazy because I really enjoyed laying down to shoot

Practiced this yesterday and sent a few wild arrows past the target. Shot 6 arrows from this position this morning, then set up the plate.

Yellow nock was the first arrow. 30 points for me. I have to say that I am extremely unlikely to ever use this shot since I use a back quiver, and taking off my quiver in the field rarely happens.
