]Nice shooting! Next week use a standard Sharpie to mark your lines please. These lines are a little thick lol. Thanks!

THANKS FOR SHOOTING EVERYBODY!!! [/QB][/QUOTE]

i understand, however the thickness of the lines shouldnt matter if the outermost edge of the line is at the desired diameter. shouldnt matter being that it is a "fun" shoot.  regardless i will use a smaller sharpie next week or a felt pen. Remove my target and i will reshoot tomorrow lol. Thanks!

Laxbowman you don't have to re-shoot. Your right if the outer edge is the diameter it doesn't matter how thick the mark is. If you keep it at that diameter, keep using  the marker, it just looked like you traced the circles with a pen, then with the marker and made it thicker. But you are right this is a fun shoot so please don't get upset. I just don't want anybody to get upset. Anyways good shooting and thanks for shooting!

I doubt I get a score in this week or next week. Last night I broke my string shooting and that was the last string I had, it takes 3rivers 5-7 days before I get what I order. Also, next week is wheat harvest for me, if I can get my hands on a endless loop string I'll give it a go. Other wise count me out for a couple weeks, sorry guys.

What length string do you need? I have a box full of strings of various lengths.

It might get you by until you can get a new one.

All I need is your mailing address and string length.

God bless,Mudd

PS: I can get it to you overnight.

  Ok here is mine for the week.I couldn`t get the arrow to stay on the shelf so I improvised.I held a arrow in my bow hand to keep the arrow pushed up on the shelf.It was super windy so my plate didn`t lay down flat.My first shot was the one in the 6 that barely cut the 8 line.I`m counting that as a six since it tore the plate from the plate being blown around and not laying flat.26 for me this week.

sorry for the picture size.photobucket is acting squirrely today

Zradix, sorry to see you withdraw!  Do you intend to continue scorekeeping?  Snakebit40, if you'd like, I can pick up the scorekeeping--you've seen my spreadsheet, and I can load weeks 2-4.

Guys I must apologize for not being a part of last weeks shot and it looks like this weeks one will have to escape me as well.  I am absolutly slammed at work and a few other irons in the fire have kept me from particicpating.

I will catch up next week hopfully and the weeks thereafter if I can still play?

All right, maybe I'm just getting old, but did anyone else find this difficult? I felt like I was trying to work on my car's transmission and shoot my longbow at the same time.

I couldn't hit the target for nothing. Maybe that's why I never practice lying down.

Anyway, my first shot was a 4 (upper left) x 2 = 8, plus 8 (lucky shot) plus 4 (upper right barely hit), should give me a 20.

Man that was a tough round.

Bona,

Have to say, I'm really glad you picked this now.  It reaffirmed how great and natural of a weapon a stickbow is.  Yes, my first shot caused my limb to hit the grass and my arrow to skip off the ground     :mad:   , and I thought this is never gonna work.  Then, pinching the nock and applying draw tension the arrow stayed on the rest at total  horizontal    :scared:     While I shot pretty bad, for being on my back worried about my arrow falling off the shelf I was shocked when my third arrow hit bull (practicing of course).

Put me down for a big ole 14, first arrow was a 4, second missed (barely), and 6 on my third.

This shot has been fun for some and nothing but frustrating for some. I'm glad for those who have enjoyed it. And even a 4 is a kill shot and nothing to be ashamed of. Thanks to everyone who gave this shot "a shot".

I still have to post mine. 4H is this week, I'm still trying to get a decent group. I wanted someone to video me shooting but I can't get anyone to do that for me.

Nothing wrong with this challenge, I think it helps highlight the versatility of stickbows and it can translate into some pretty contorted shot opportunities while hunting. Plus its just plain fun! Most folks I shoot with try goofy stuff all the time anyway.

My attempt for the week:
1 = 6 x 2 = 12
2 = 6
3 = 4
Total = 22 pts
