How much affect does a longer draw have on the performance of a bow? The reason for my question is that one of my favorite bows pulls 52# at my 29" draw. I have an elk hunt coming up this fall and would love to use this bow, but that just seems a little on the light side. How much does the longer draw offset the lighter weight?
The other bow I am debating using pulls closer to 57# at my draw. Right now my arrows weigh 530 grains, but I may play with bumping that up a bit.
I'm leaning toward the heavier bow, and I can shoot them pretty much equally as good, but I sure like the lighter weight longbow better.
