New Bow Arrived
« on: June 25, 2011, 03:45:00 PM »
I had the opportunity to shoot the LH Lost Creek takedown pass around bow. It was a good shooting bow but just a little short for me.

I spoke with Chad about one for me.

It arrived yesterday.

46 @ 28 and 64" tip to tip.

I got to shoot it some last night. Not alot of prep for the trad 3d shoot today, but, I managed to get a 273 on 30 targets.

Chad makes a nice bow. Especially if you're a lefty as he is.

First shots at 15yds

Thanks Chad

This was a very hard bow to send off. The riser is Zebra w/ a Wenge accent, Zebra overlays, Bocote limbs, Red Elm core, and Wenge wedge's. It has a 15" handle, and use's a 61" string for a true 64" bow. Bud B left it up to me on the wood choice's, and this is the combination I came up with. I was very happy with the outcome of this wood combo, enjoy it. Chad

Also Chad, I couldn't get it on a chrono, but I'm taking it to another shoot tomorrow. I'm guessing in the mid 190s.

Full length 3555 GT trads with 125 tip.

Missiles. And quiet missles with that FF string.

Very nice looking bow! A 273 is a very good 3d score you tore up the course good job. I am very interested in one of Chads take downs I'm just try to decide on the woods.

Goofed on the score...271. 141 course A and 130 course B.

But still, I can tell you that having gone to a 3D shoot almost every weekend since getting back into trad last summer, all to better my hunting skills and accuracy, I have not shot my personal bows as well as Chad's loaner LH TD and now my own Lost Creek TD. I don't think it's in my mind, I truly think it's how his handle design fits my hand. The shelf sits just above the hand to allow the arrow to glide just above the web of the hand and gets the bow hand closer to the eye while shooting.

I hope folks give Chad his due. When we've talk on the phone it's like talking to a longtime friend. He's good people. And a good bowyer.

Thanks all the kind words folks.

Bud

That is some really nice wood and wood work. If those first 15 arrows are any indication, anyone you're shootin against when you get used to it is gonna have their work cut out for them.
