Well, here is the finished bow. I still can't get a decent photo that shows the grip all that well. The flat finish does help bring it out a bit.

Good job....wish it had been posted a few weeks earlier. I just did one of mine and didn't think of putting the design in, like the antlers. Really looks sharp.

How is stippling for making the grip less slippery ? Trying to decide between that and checkering

Mileage may vary, but I've had chances to shoot checkered grips and found them to be somewhat abrasive over time... sweaty palms, etc.

I had my latest stippled and now after a number of months, varied weather, with and without gloves, I'm loving the stippling.

But then I don't lay block or other work that creates calluses like some guys... fwiw.

That is some incredible work... getting pics to come out on such detail can be tough... but it surely is quite impressive! Nicely done!

I love it Jared! Only a carpenter would carve on a bow grip with a sheet rock knife. :eek:

I've done several of these now and it gets easier as you do more of them. i haven't tried a carving yet on a bow grip.... nicely done bro.
