Jeffery Archery

    (803) 776-3832

1444 Pineview Dr, Columbia, SC 29209

This is what I Googled up. I always seem to run across their ad in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine, and you may want to double check to make sure that this info is up to date.

(And here I thought a Cadet Member would be telling ME how to navigate the infernalnet!)     :wavey:

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Never considered or shot one, other than the bows built for Dan; because, I have heard so much discussion concerning non-existing service and an indifferent attitude towards potential customers of late.

I sure would like to be proven wrong.

To those who had no response a few months ago, I would try again. Mr.Owen was not doing so well and the family was probably taking care of Owen.

Great bows by the way, I use to go up to Columbia to their shop when I lived in Bamberg. Great people and real hunting family.

I'm not sure what's happening for those of you who can't get through to them.  I just this minute called the number and they answered.

I shot a couple of takedowns, but those two didn't fit my 29.5 draw.  More normal draw and I'd second the prevailing opinions expressed.

I have a Jeffery takedown recurve and have owned 2 of Quillian's Bamboo Longhunters.  All have been very good bows.

The Jeffery's are great people -much more bowyers than businessmen.   I have several of their bows, one old beat up recurve that I retired after taking over a hundred critters with it.   You won't buy a better bow for the money.

Ok I just went to the shop today.  Mr. Owen was sitting in a chair taking a nap when I walked in.  Talked to him a little later.  He is doing pretty good rite now with his health.  Tom gave me a tour of the bow shop.  He said they are definately producing bows and taking orders.  He said he has not starting to push it real hard with the advertising yet til he builds up a little inventory.  He showed me one rack with about 20 longhunters, which is a R/D longbow design they have brung back.  Also a lot of takedowns and one piece recurves waiting to be finished.  They have a good sized shop now with a lot more room than they had at the last place.  They moved in to this current location on Bluff Rd. in May of 2010.  From what I saw the bows they are making are very good looking and up to snuff for sure.  The number is 803-776-3832 they are open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm M-F and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sat.
This is a photo of Mr. Owen from 2009.
