Could you show us some of your bows by Italian bowyers?  Do you have any links to their websights?  Always like to look at bows!

I think the entire Ragim line of bows is made in Italy.

I have a bow from an american bowyer who sells most of his bows in Italy. does that count?

Several years ago (10 +/-) I bought a takedown recurve from Filippo Donadoni.  It looked nice and shot nice, but after a few days the tip overlay flew off.  I sent it back and have never looked at another bow from him again.

Rick,Filippo is just a dealer and designed some bows made both in Italy and Australia, but not really custom, just mass production.
In reality there are at least a dozen of bowyers in Italy, but Carlo, that for sure knows them, wants to know if any of you is aware of them.

I saw a bow made by an Italian maker that was out of this world. very unique in design and construction. I do not remember the name though.

If Italian bowyers are as good as Italian gunmakers, they should be fine bows.  I will have to do a search for them.

A buddy of mine is married to a girl who has a lot of family in Italy. They visit them every year and he met a bowyer named Fabroni. He had a longbow made for him and brought it back to the states. It is a good shooting bow!
