My Addiction got a Slim Jim!
« on: June 29, 2011, 07:32:00 PM »
Last summer at ATAR in West Virginia, due to the recommendations of Bernie, I test shot an Anneewakee Addiction recurve from John Dill, owner of Kanati Quivers.  The bow was made by Lee Hoots, and is 56", 49#.  I loved it as soon as I shot it, and ended up buying it!  It has been great to shoot, and am enjoying it....but I always felt it was missing something....a quiver...one of John's Slim Jim Quivers...I have like the looks of it ever since they came out, and was determined to get one...

Due to various job changes, it took a while...but last week I finally called John and ordered one....it came yesterday, and finally got a day off to put it on the bow and get pictures...I am not disappointed...it is great looking, and sturdy on my bow....John did a great job..(his hat size just increased).....

Thanks to Bernie for recommending the bow, to Lee Hoots for building a great shooter, and John for making a great quiver and being a good friend....

here are some photos......

Looking good, Lee - and I know you are gonna love the Slim Jim, as well as the Anneewakee Addiction. I know I do both of mine.

Speaking of that, know what I just did, a few minutes ago? Take a look at Don Batten's offer of two Anneewakee Addiction bows in the classified section here - LOL.

Really glad you are enjoying that Slim Jim!!!! It sure looks good on your Anneewakee Addiction. Thats the new mounting system that makes taking your quiver off your bow super fast and easy. I'll post for Tradgangers more pics of that new set up in an upcoming Kanati quiver "infomercial" very soon! great talking with you and hope to see you guys at Denton!!!!!!

Received my Slim Jim from John this past week and really think it is an exceptional quiver on my Hoots bow. I really like the way it attaches to the bow and very secure. Also, got a sling from John

Thanks, John, I'm real pleased about it. Yeah, and she's a long-legged gal too (56" compared to Blackie at 54" - LOL). They'll make a great dance team, eh?

I'll post pics as soon as "batman" and I get together for the "adoption ceremonies", Lee. My two addiction bows may not have the new "super fast and easy" mounting systems - yet - for their Slim Jims but they'll still be stylin' and profilin'
