When I had my first whitetail mounted I said that was the only one I would do because I just had to have a head on the wall and the 145" 12pt. was the biggest I ever killed. Then when the 156" 10pt. came along I just HAD to get it mounted cause it was bigger than the other one.
Now I just do skull mounts myself for free, unless it's a new state record, then I won't have to pay to have that one mounted cause the MDC will do it for me if I let them display it for awhile.

That's a buck of a lifetime and you'll find yourself looking at it every single day. I look at mine at least once a day if even just a glance and it brings back the fond memories of the day.
