101 F and thinkin' of wearing wool

After many years of wearing a filson vest as my main hunting article, I will finally have to retire it. Too many years of rabbit hunting in briars and brambles finally spelled its demise. All those years and never even loosing a button. What a rugged piece of clothing. I can't believe how attached I had become to it.
Well, last weekend while in Kansas City, I fould a new filson vest in the traditional red and black plaid so I should be good for another twenty five years or so. I can't wait to wear it so if you see someone wearing a wool vest in the Oklahoma heat, think nothing of it.

Buddy does those re-enactment civil war deals...all wool. Always summer...
but ya'll look like a redcoat a comin, Gordon!
Oh...hate to be a wet blanket, but if'n you found something like what you had, it'd better be a long forgotten, not worn, USED piece cause nobody...nobody makes it like they used to!
Dang shame, too! ;(
