Some of you may remember our former business,
Keep It Simple Archery. We shut it down back about 6 years ago. Well...we are back (this time focusing on our own products). We have completed our website, and I wanted to post an updated link to it. Additionally, I have been anticipating a few "business" changes in the line up of bows we are now offering.
1. From here forward, carbon is now offered as a standard on every adult bow we produce. One can elect to have a non-carbon bow made at a discounted rate, but because I have a very limited rate of production. I want to focus on quality over quantity and desire to produce the best bow I can. To do this, I would prefer for as many of the bows I make to have the carbon in them. My reasons for this are...carbon is a very stable material AND carbon enables me to reduce the limb's core by about 10%. This results in a less limb mass, which in turn results in enhanced performance and helps to eliminate handshock.
2. We are now offering various limb veneers. KennyM has been a tremendous influence on our ability to do this. He produces some excellent laminations and is able to grind them very thin and maintain excellent consistency. As a result, this allows us to use very thin veneers of hardwoods to enhance a bow's natural beauty while also maintaining the bow's performance...so as a result we have set up our new order form to outline such specifics (specifying how the veneers can be used).
3. We have expanded our line-up on traditional bows. We now carry both our original Protégé Longbow AND have added a new design, The Hunter series which is designed specifically for the bowhunter. Here are a few pictures of our new "Hunter series" traditional bow..
Given these changes, I figured if we were going to ever go back to
Keep It Simple Archery , the sooner the better...oh ya, we will be adding some interesting videos on our website in the very near future. I hope you check them out.
Thanks,
H. Lee Robinson
