congrats, another thing that can help is to squeeze those barbs in tight to the shaft so it penetrates more and leaves a smaller entry so there is less to pull out of. works great for use especially on those big soft grass carp.

Way to go Cade!!!!!
Awesome story. I remember when the quest for his first fish started. That thing is almost as big as he is. Great job by all involved.

Ya did it Cade !!! Made my morning reading this thread. The father / son threads like this are so special to me. Curt, you are one awesome Dad bud ! What memories you are making with your family. A tip of the hat to all the other folks who helped Cade get 'er done. I suspect it won't be long and we will have hero pics of Cade in a fall setting standing over some prime venison.....

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Congratulatoins Cade!!!!!! I knew that it was just a matter of time.Cade has been hitting fish consistently so shooting was no problem. After a year and gaining some horsepower on the bowstring he made it happen.I know the time and effort that Curt put in to help his son succeed.I am sure that this will be the first of many.Great story and photographs as usual Curt.
