Dream Hunts
« on: July 04, 2011, 08:50:00 PM »
"Don't put off your dream hunt. It's always easy to say I'll do it next year or in a couple of years or it's in my bucket list. Sometimes tomorrow never comes and all that your left with at the end of the day is regret. Where there is a will - there is a way!"

I posted this in another thread and it got me thinking. We should dedicate a thread to dream hunts and hopefully everyone can list thier dream hunts for the 2012 and 2013 season on this thread. This will help to keep us motivated toward making these hunts happen.

2012 - Alpine deer hunt, POW island, Alaska
 2013 - Caribou/Moose, Alaska

Arizona elk. It will take awhile yet to accumulate the prefernce points needed to have a good chance in drawing that tag, but sooner or later, I hope to make that one a reality.

In the meantime, I'll satisfy my desires with elk somewhere!

Elk with my dad before he is too old to do it. Money and time off always seem to get in the way. Thats one of those hunts that If I knew I wasent going to kill anything it wouldn't bother me a bit.

Giant whitetail anywhere they exist, anything over 100-110"s where I hunt is truly a trophy. 130"s is very, very rare and 150"s just about unheard of. Kansas,Iowa, come to mind! South Dakota is a sleeper as is Nebraska and some others! Shawn

Last year did a backpack Kodiak AK hunt for deer.

2011 made a beautiful baby girl.

2012 is either POW deer and bear or elk in CO and deer on Kodiak again.

2013 is AK caribou, CO elk, and WY antelope.

All with my old man that isn't that old...

2015 my oldest will be joining the party!
Give me a bow a topo and two weeks, and I guarantee I kill two weeks!
