I believe it is in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where Ron's hunting camp is located.

Yes Armstrong Creek is a real place. It's in the western end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I discovered this enchanted place 20 years ago and now my hunting camp, Shrewhaven is located on the bank of the Armstrong creek.

As for the Ghost, the story has been told around many campfires over the years and while some choose to believe it is just a story there are others who have hunted the area that will claim to have had a personal encounter with the ghost. Regardless, whether real or imagined, the story of the Ghost of Armstrong Creek continues to intrigue both young and old.

We've even named a bow after him.

Here's a couple of the boys coming up the Armstrong heading back to the cabin, they have a nice whitetail in the bottom of the canoe. The dark looking swamp in the background is where it is said the Ghost resides....in fact if you look closely you might be able to see him watching from the shadows....   ...   :bigsmyl:

Not too far from my camp. The only Ghosts around my camp are the ghosts of all the dead whitetails that we have stuck since 1992!!!!!!!
