Take on good look at all the photos again. The element that blends in most in both color and black and white photos is the color and pattern in the hat your wearing.

I know...lol
Like I was saying if they just made that I'd be all set..lol

Personally I've always loved woodland camo.
But it's hard to find good stuff in that camo anymore.

Partially what Night Wing said...... "add 20yds then look at it. " But I respectfully disagree and would use the brown instead of the green due to more white in it like huntin_sparty said. The white keeps you from becoming the dark blob and truly breaks your outline.

That is the whole reason we switched to Predator about 4 years ago. Have not been visually picked off yet while wearing Fall Gray in a tree ! Even had the same flock of turkeys walk by at 7 yds with me AND my son in the same lone white oak in a clearcut in December two days in a row ! Like the Predator motto goes.... " Trophy Racks not Store Racks. " I think the biggest mistake we made was looking at camo up close rather than hunting distances. Most become black blobs at distance, colors are all the same and all dark. Attractive to the human eye and pocketbook in the store. Hard to change the thinking on all the white in some Predator patterns but it works as advertised. JMHO

Nocams...
I here you loud and clear.
My buddy shakes his head at the stuff...he just doesn't get it.

You hit on my problem too.
The white "light tan" is what REALLY does the break up.
Prob is the only white stuff I see in the woods are deer tails and snow.

I'm sure both would work.
You can shoot a deer wearing a white t-shirt.

I just want all the help I can get!

Thanks everyone!

Like Dave posted above, I love the Brown Deception for deer hunting!!
Starting to become a fan of Spring Green after getting a gobbler so close I could see his pupils while just plain sitting on the ground.
I also like to mix up two patterns.

 Here are a few pics:

Tracy,

Can you or someone post a B&W pic of the green deception?  I live in south MS and the green deception appears to be the bomb for my area.  Although i like the idea of mix and matching.

Lot of work on those pics!  Don't deer have trouble seeing red and green anyway?     :dunno:

I think the brown will be more versatile and break up your outline better.  Even at ground level (and sometimes especially there) the gaps in the trees show horizon, and there is a lot of white/grey on tree trunks and branches.

I am biased because I only wear Fall Brown and Fall Grey and have had several good experiences with it.

The green deception is the green predator on the first page.

Great picture. If I look at it and let my eyes go out of focus just a tad, you disappear.  I'm really enjoying this thread.

David,

Actually I think the pic's you posted are the green deception and not the spring green, and if that the case They are awesome in B&W! That guy in the corn field actually melts into the image!
