« on: July 08, 2011, 08:40:00 AM »
just fletched up a dozen surewoods for hogs (well, for deer too, i s'pose) - "coral snake hog arrows"  :)  w/tusker concorde 190's on the business ends, footed the fronts with epoxied 1/8" bamboo, total weight averages 595 grains.

Rob,
Your arrows are real beauties but let me share a tip a fella shared with me.  Get a yellow sharpie and make the edge of your feather yellow too! (the quill part that's white now).  Just made mine look a little better after I started doing it.

yep, done that with a sharpie.  scraping the burn off with a razor blade works best for me, but i kinda like the darkened edges on these yeller bars.

Nice looking arrows there Rob.

I'm putting together a dozen Douglas fir arrows right now for the same reason.  I'm calling them "Motorcity Macheties".  I'll post pics when they are done.

Sweet Mr Rob .....
They look like they are made for business . Douglas fir as hog arrow material is just perfect ... none too heavy ... none too light ... just right!

Nice, those things look like they will slip right through a hog and not even slow down.

Looks good Rob,I like the combo of colors You say footed with Bamboo,do you mean you drilled them out and stuck the boo inside? Does that add good strength?
