Bowhunting is not just a way of life, it is also fun.

Im 72 and shoot almost everyday except this summer because it is 95 every day and doe's not cool down. I hunt deer about 45 days during the season. I am shooting 44# longbows now. I keep only two longbows now, one for backup and the other as my go to bow.
I will be married 52 years on July 11 to the same woman and I took my Ben Pearson 70# recurve with us on our honeymoon to Colorado so I have been shooting a long time.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I'll be 70 next March. The only differance from 50 is I stay on the ground. Life with out hunting is like an air plane with out wings.

"How many of you are 70 and above?"........I weigh a whole lot more than 70!.....you do mean in pounds, right?!?

Now if you're talkin' years, I still got 23 of them to go 'til I hit the big seven zero. If I feel half as good as I feel right now, I'll be fine.

Will be 73 come Sept. 25 Th. Still making Trad. Bows, been donating them to International Safri Club for there National Convention here in Kansas City, Mo., also donated to the Kansas Bowhunters Ass. convention in Hutch. Kansas.

Can still draw and shoot 61# L/B, and 55# recurve. Not to shabby for an old geaser.

Will be making two or three bows every year to give away to local Archery Clubs here in the Kansas City area, and to help promote our Great sport of Traditional Archery, for both our Youths and Adults.  :p

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Every once in a while my body reminds me that I am 72 ( 1939) My mind has not caught up with my body.  However, I do remind my wife of 51years that I am 72 when she hands me the honey -do-list'
I am still hunting actively and planning hunts out in the future. There are a lot of animals on my bucket list! I use longbows in the 50 to 60 lb. range and try to shoot ever other day.

I am inspired that these brothers are still doing their thing and overcoming everything in their way to do it.  Congrats brothers for such commitment.
