In my 73rd year. Heading to Newfoundland for moose in Sept. This trad stuff has really given me a reason to stay active and healthy, for the most part. Just diagnosed with A fib today. Cardiologist appt. tomorrow to determine the extent of damage, if any. The thought of not being able to shoot or get out hunting is too dire to contemplate.

72 come October. Still bowfishing, bowhunting and spending as much time on the range as possible. Usually 3o4 times a week. being retired does have some perks.

74 and still goin' but doing it much slower! Am in Colorado waiting on elk season but will be in Nebraska after antelope before that. Wish my body would stay as young as I 'think' my mind is   :) . Have always been an 'XX size' and it has taken a toll on my knees. The canyons are getting deeper every year.

  and   :clapper:  to all of you keeping this great sport going.
At 40 I feel like a kid in the crowd. But I cherish the knowledge, wisdom, advice, and even a little bs that comes from those more experienced than myself.
Last year was my first entire season with out training wheels, and I hope I can keep this ride going for another 30+ years without them.
My hat's off to you!!!

Seventy five this last January and definitely feel it. Helped set up some targets for the Barryton shoot and was too tired to try them out afterwards   :(

Well, I'm going to hit 'em all this weekend   :)

I'm over 10 years away. I wonder if you opened that window up to late 50's and up what percentage of trad shooters that would cover?

I am almost 67, but my wife equates that to being 6 or 7. Oh, well, I see no need to ever grow up. I first started archery in 1959. You guys at 70 or thereabouts don't seem near as old as you used to.

I was 69 when this was started. Stopped counting so I wouldn't think about dropping in bow weight. Quit smoking 32 yrs., ago, exercise more and taking better care of myself.

Will be 76 in october and still hanging in there. Remember 76 is still just a number . I try to shoot every day. Had to go down from 60lbs to 50lbs but that was just to prevent possible future shoulder injurys. Hope tobe shootingin my 80's

When I first saw this post, I considered making a joke about my IQ. But, after reading every reply in this thread, I found inspiration and a sense of real respect and admiration for the older archers/hunters. I salute you folks. You are true treasures to our community and culture.
