Sorry, I don't own any uncurved bows (except for one that has a lot of help on each end).
Yep, that gpp would be handy also. I'll do the math on that and edit this post. My 600 arrow is 27.5" and the 500 is 27".
Here are three more bows.
Predator Anniversary-60" - 46#@26"
415 - 165 ft/sec
505 - 153 ft/sec
Widow PCH - 58" - 44#@26"
415 - 164 ft/sec
505 - 151 ft/sec
Bear Supreme w/Rose Oak #1 Limbs-56"- 46.5#@26"
415 - 167 ft/sec
505 - 152 ft/sec
Again, there really isn't a lot of difference. Of course my bows are all very similar in draw weight and length. These are bows that I've gathered that I like, that fit me, and shoot well for me. My typical ranges with the tab are 150-152' or 164-167'/second with 4-6 shots.
I don't know that anyone could/should make a decision on a bow buy based upon close results like these. As many of you already know, it comes down more to aesthetics, smooth draw, and how the bow fits and grips.
The biggest surprise to me is that the Rose Oaks weren't as much faster as I would have thought they would have been -- I have a pair of #1 and #3s and only one pair of Bear-made limbs -- the Supremes. I don't know how the earlier Bears or the 2011 Bear limbs would have done -- I sold the 2011 TD limbs a week before this Chrono arrived. Frankly, I had suspected the Supreme Limbs were a bit better performers than older TD limbs by Bear. I suspect the 2011s are also improvements based upon how they felt to me before I moved them on.
The good news is I haven't found a dud in the bunch.
I'm not ignoring the "other characteristic comparison" asked for above. I just have to think about it. Of course that evaluation will be purely subjective and very personal.
Here's my priority for shootability which includes feel, grip, smoothness, and after-shot feel:
Gosh, this is very difficult!
Grip:
1. Habu
2. All the Widows (standard grip)
3. The Stick
4. Silvertip
5. Predator
6. Wapati
7. Bear Supreme
Smooth Draw:
1. Silvertip (even w/heavier draw wt)
2. Habu
3. Predator
4. Widows
5. Wapiti
6. The Stick
7. Bear Supreme
I have moved bows that didn't compare favorably (according to my tastes) to the ones above.
I have yet to test a Super Wildcat and a Fatal Styk. I haven't shot the Bear Mags either but I wouldn't expect them to be different than the Supreme because I'd be using the same limbs.
