School Project
« on: June 29, 2007, 04:26:00 PM »
Hi again all, My little brother Robert, has to do a speech at school infront of his class about some thing that is important to him, and has decided to do BowHunting,
And asked me to ask you Guys If you had any thing he could use in his presentation, eg pics, interesting articals ect,

I remmer reading an artical about stone arrow heads and how they are sharper than scaplop blades, and there was a pic from under a mircospope of the edge of a stone blade and a metal blade and the edge of the stone was much sharper, any thing like that would be ace, but i cant remmer where i read that,
Just some thing to argue about or show what hunting with a bow an arrow is not crude, inefective and inhumain,

This will also be some thing that has never crosses his class mates minds, vertually every one in Robs class things that milk and Meat comes from the supper markte, and is hoping to open there eyes to the world of hunting and Archery. Or even the GratOut Doors ,

Any think will help

With Thanks From Robert

James

If you go over to highlights 2007 there are a number of stories and pictures that your brother can use. You can also go to memorable hunts plenty of stories to use there. That is if you have a printer so you can print them off. If you would like PM me your address and i will mail you a point that is very old that i found in a plowed up field, your brother can use this to compare the old technology with the new. Just a thought let me know how much time you have before his presentation.

but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

He could also mention Our St. Judes auction and the Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt, to show how us hunters try and do a lot of good in this world. Shawn

also don't forget to mention that groups like ducks unlimited and Rocky Mountain Elk foundation who's mission is the conservation of wild life are funded and staffed almost entirely by volenteering hunters.

I think people should know that bows and arrows aren't just capable of taking the occasional deer. Help them understand that in the hands of a capable bowhunter, bows can be used to cleanly take running rabbits, flying ducks and pheasants, and all sizes of game, from chipmunks to elephants...
Plus, I second Shawn's idea of showing how we hunter's do as much good as possible...
