But Charlie, I'd rather harass you in public! Are you going to Elm Hall? I'd like to see that one in person.

Got one like the top knife in the photos - comes razor sharp, and VERY easy to maintain the edge at the same degree of scarey sharpness. Find myself reaching for this one above the many other blades I have.

Mora knives rock. Easy to sharpen, strong as heck, and cheap. I love custom but these are my workhorse knives, especially on trips and rough use

Even sharpening challenged can do it, just lay it on the bevel on both sides to keep the stock angle. Pretty smart design

The folks in Sweden use knives evryday for everything and have for 100's of years, from that comes a no-nonsense tool that works very well.
Thanks Jim and Matt.

I like that top one, looks like Mora knives will be filling some Christmas stockings this year! As hot as it is, had to throw a winter reference in there!

I took a really good wilderness skills course by Mors Kochanski (or y) and it is what he gave us and advocates. He is renowned for his knowledge of survival and clothing and use of minimal equipment. He is amazing with a mora neck knife

I will have a couple of those green jobs before October. Wish I had brought a couple extra hundreds just for Chuck's booth last weekend at PBS. I bought my son a firesteel and he had a great time starting the Saturday night fires sans matches/lighter

that whole thing still makes me giggle,Daniel had no idea what a firesteel was and then Steve got the sparks going and he was tripped out.
That was classic. I wish I could have seen him start the fire but I was enjoying the Chi-town traffic.
OH! and uh Steve, don't forget your hundreds next time eh? :p (well,I guess I did clean that one pretty good) Thanks Steve it was good talking to you again.
