I know! I know!
« on: July 24, 2011, 11:06:00 PM »
I know - This topic has been beaten to death!    :deadhorse:   I always leave my bows that I am shooting strung - never any problems - NEVER.  Found this in the garage today.

Don't know if is because of the heat?  Shot it two nights ago and was going to shoot again today.

My other bows came in the house as I am now paranoid.

Think it is the heat - probably 90 degrees in garage today maybe hotter yesterday?
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

THat's the only time I unstring my bow.   I will not leave it strung in a hot place.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss!
How old is that bow?
I don`t think, that 90-100 degrees will destroy an intact laminated bow.

Shoot 90 degrees. If it is as hot in NE as it has been here in Missouri, then it is between 105-115 outside and probably 120-130 inside the garage.

Who recommended you leave a bow in the garage during this heat??? Strung nonetheless.

Even unstrung there's no way I would put any of my bows in the garage without AC, it's just too darn hot.     "[dntthnk]"

You keep your bows in your garage?  I keep mine in my closet on a towel with a glass of water and a picture of a deer to keep them fired up.  I used to have whiskey in the glass, but they kept shooting to the left.

Seriously though that sucks!  I'd imagine it was the heat as well.

Yeow...I feel your pain. My bows have been spending the summer in the house.

Wow, that is so sad, I am sorry to see your loss.
I keep all my bows in my basement, some strung some not.
Nothing I can say that will make the pain go away.

Thanks for the condolences guys.  Yes it sucks - but if one had to break I rather it this one.  The others are in the house in air condition now.  I just didn't think that it was hot enough in the garage to cause the break.

I'll keep my eye out for another 58" grizzly - sure one will come along.

Hate to see that because I really like Grizzlys. But on the bright side, if there is one to be found, it didn't come apart on you while you were shooting it. That could have been very, very bad. So happy to see you didn't get hurt by it. This heat is hard on everything.
If man were to know everything in advance, there would be no such thing as adventure!
