So that brings us to the next day. Shawn and I have been wanting to get together so I sent a text to see if he was interested in driving down to go bowfishing(figuring it was going to be awesome again).
He was all for it!
So I gathered up some of our other friends, Gary and Glen would meet us at the river!
After getting Shawn's rig fixed up and a quick burger at the diner. We met Gary and Glen to BS for a bit.
It was easy to see that things were "different" already.
The water had risen, and after watching the river for a while...we didn't see a single active fish!
But we hit the river anyway hoping the fish would start to get active.
We worked our way up through the same course I'd taken up river the day before and after seeing more fish than ever the day before.....we didn't see a single fish all the way up to where I usually stop!
I told Shawn that I had a spot that if I had to pick one spot that I know of to hang out and try to get a shot it was right out in the middle behind an old bridge abuttment...so out we went...
With the water higher, and running a bit harder it was harder that usual to see...but in no time we caught some quick glimpses of a couple fish.
Then, as I watched, Shawn pulled up and quickly shot...he said..."uuugh"...like he missed, but I could quickly tell that he hadn't...the arrow was dancin'! I excitedly yelled..."you got it"!
Shawn got so ecited he started yanking on the line so hard he was sure to pull it right thru the fish! Then I turned the video on...
He made a great shot...click the link...
A nice one on his first shot of the evening...

After missing an easier shot, he made good on his third shot and easly landed this one shot thru the head!
•
To give you an idea how "bad" it was....Gary or Glen never saw a fish!
On as tuff an evening as I've ever seen...Shawn did very well going 2 for 3!
