I got to meet Ron my self  this past week at Denton  He was just getting there on Friday Moring and was with  John Lee whom I had not seen in about 20 years .   It was a wonderful treat to meet Ron and a Blessing to See John again after all these years .   We had a great little chat and some memories  One of the best times I had this year at ETAR  Thanx Ron

I am proud to count Ron among my friends. He is a fountain of knowledge and experience and a treasure to the traditional archery community (and to his friends). You are indeed fortunate to have been able to spend time with him.

I got to shake hands with Mr. LeClair , a true Gentleman of the sport . I also bought a great little neck knife from him . Didn't cross paths with you Ken , my loss . No hard feelings about the NWTF knife I hope . And young Adam is lucky to have a great Father , Ken , who really enjoys spending time with his son , as it should be . Seems I missed out meeting a lot of Trad-gangers , sorry , Fred

Fred it was great meeting you!

You missed Ken by roughly 30 yards, he was on the other side of the tent when we met at camp.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Got to meet Ron too.  Very nice gentleman.  I got his signature on a longbow I made and hopefully it will bring me some good mo-jo come fall.  He also took the time to give me some pointers on bow design and show me his Shrew Hill and longbow made by John Lee.

Meeting and talking with Ron was the highlight of trip to Denton this year.

Great to have met you Charlie , and Ken there's always next year . I have more bows than I have brains and I still almost ordered a new one . Lucky for me I ran out of time by visiting with people at the close of the show , I am learning to avoid temptation , don't like it much though .

Fred and Kenny, your hearts run in the same stride.
I am so tickled when I see folks whom I have met meeting other folks who have gifted me with their time.
Such a karass!    :bigsmyl:

Man, this thread makes me want to close up shop in the Summer and hit all the rondys.  Then again, I am only open in the Summer so I would have no $ for the rondys:(

Ken wanted to know if I had any old pipes he could have. I had a couple that I've enjoyed for a few years and brought them with me to Denton to give to him. They are made by Savinelli, an old pipe maker that makes an excellent pipe. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have and remember....DON'T inhale..    :nono:   http://savinelliusa.com/
