Hot melt.
Preparation and proper application, and it is one of the strongest, and the point can be removed, readjusted and aligned with little difficulty.

Ferr-L-Tite.  For best results, dunk the point in water while it's still hot.

Be sure to clean off any rust-inhibitor from new points before gluing.

Ferr-l-tite

I have been experimenting with the Ferr-l-tite low temp (blue) and have had good luck with it so far.

30 minute epoxy.
Easy to use, easy to adjust the point without having to heat it or burn my fingers, easy to remove to change heads.
Best of all, I simply do not lose points in the targets... ever.

Exactly.  I use a propane torch to heat the glue and smear it on the tip of the arrow, then heat the point with a propane torch stick on arrow get situated then a quick quench in water to set the head in place.

I've had problems with Ferr-L-tite in cold weather.
It gets to hard and brittle in the cold.

Now I use an industrial glue stick.

The glue stick stays softer and adheres better than the ferr-l-tite in most temps ESPECIALLY in the cold.

I've done testing on it..freezer and all.

The glue stick melts at a lower temp. I've heard of it softening too much for some in really hot temps.

I'm sure glad I don't live where it's too cold for Ferr-L-Tite! It's all I use, and I "third" the cold water dunk when the point is set but still hot.

I clean out the inside of the point with a .38cal stainless brush mounted in a drill, then use Ferr-l-tite hot glue. Works well and I can change or adjust easily.

I have been using Ferr-L-Tite for more than 50 years I guess I will stick (pun intended) with it.
