I don't suffer envy or jealousy but I almost gave in to it in this instance.   I always wanted to hunt Dall sheep and I always wanted to hunt dangerous game in Africa.   I know that I'll never get the chance but I sure am glad that you did.   Beautiful place those NWT.

when I turn 50 - in 8 years and when my son graduates and moves away - my wife and I are moving to AK so I can hunt Dall Sheep and other animals before I get too old to ever do it.

great hunt - what bows, arrows, heads, poundage etc was used ??

I have hunted many rams with a rifle but hunting sheep with a trad bow is the manlist thing you can do

Thanks guys! It was one of the hardest hunts I've been on. I need to give credit to my guide Brodie Cardinal also. He is a fine young man in his 20s that can cover that kind of country easily. He took good care of me and was a lot of fun to hang with.

Talondale, that is a prototype arrow hole cover Rod is working on. It worked great. We were caught in several downpours and my broadheads never got wet.

Bowmania, Yes we were hunting with Nahanni Butte and booked throuh Bowhunting Safari Consultants. Both did an excellent job of making sure our hunt was the best it could be.

Kapellmeister, Yes that Sitka camo pattern was hard to see. I laid my beanie on a rock one day and had a heck of a time finding it. I wore the mountain pants with built in knee pads a core top and a traverse zip-T every day and stayed incredibly comfortable.

Frassettor, it is a Sitka Bivy 45 pack.

Peter, Tanner is the MAN!!! Good to hear from you both.

Brad, I used a 66" 70# PLX, Traditional Only shafts with Woodsman Elites.
