added new pics to page 2.

Was talking with Elmer a few weeks back,  I had recently sold my "Dalton" longbow and wanted to replace it with something a tad more # draw weight.  These are among the best mannered, quiet yet fast shooting "D" strung bows out there.

Im normally not a huge fan of Myrtle risers,  but this piece was denser, heavier, and looked better then most.   The veneers are some of the stuff IdahoCurt had listed here on TG.

Im going to wrap the handle myself,  I am looking for some nice Elk leather.   Think im going to try Selway's new strap quiver with the double pins.

Bow came in at #51@28 and is 62",  here are some "shop" pics from Elmer,  should arrive today or tommorow will add pics when it arrives-

Matt, Very good looking bow. You were right on your choice on the myrtle for your riser, looks awesome. Shoot her well, good luck.

i will add this is a bow that Elmer already had in process,  he picked all the materials etc.  i just "tagged" it before he finished it out.

Well it did arrive today,   just about gave up and saw the mail lady on my way out.

Ive shot it some and as expected its quiet, very "pointable", dead in the hand etc.   Shooting CE150's,  cut to 29, with 200 gr up front, about 540 total weight.   Going to work up a properly tuned set up later,  but the way it shoots this may already be "it".

Here are a few more photos,   its much better looking than I anticipated.  Ive been wanting a real basic longbow that actually looks like "wood",  this one hit the mark head on.

I really love the tips,  black/bone micarta-

and FINALLY,  one shot of it braced,  very classic "D" shape-

I hate to tell you, there is nothing "BASIC" about that bow. That is nice.
