Reverse mount 3 pc..any thoughts?

I've never been able to hold, shoot, or even lay eyes on a reverse mount 3pc.
Just wondering what your opinions are on this type of bow.
Really curious about how they feel and shoot....
especially compared to a forward "normal" mounted 3pc.
Of course much depends on the limbs and other design differences.
Just in general..
I know they look a little different..

My dad uses a Drake Signature takedown and that is the only one I have experience with. In this case it shoots like any other massive riser bow. If you like the feel of the large riser/ short limb bows like a Black Widow or JH Jet you will probably enjoy shooting them. The only other 3 pc I have is an ACS so I don't think I can give a reasonable comparison.

I have shot many types of bows and up till the 2005 Compton I never considered a Black Widow. I shot a BW for the first time at that shoot and it fit me so well I had to have one. I will say that this was my experience and not everyone is suited to the same style So..........
Right away I noticed I had more room between my forearm and the bow string. This has worked out well and I don't ever wear an arm guard at 3d shoots. I do wear one when hunting to keep the bulky cloths away but I find this a forgiving trait. I find the draw smooth but the Asbell grip on my BW seems to help me on my left right accuracy. For me this design is what I shoot most accurately.
Now 6 years later I still have my BW and any of my other bows have become bows that I play with. When I am serious I use my BW.
Your experience may differ.

You have to try one for your self, I have had several Widows and liked them. But they are not for everyone. Much more weight in the hand, some folks like that, I don't. Would I get another, maybe, I would like to shoot a Kwick Styck at some point, maybe a Habu.....but for now my Silvertip and my Zipper work better for me. I will say when I shot my friends PCH....I hit stuff!!

I shoot BW's a lot and as Bill says I don't use an armguard either . They don't feel much heavier than other bows but I also have a Habu longbow which is very heavy (mass weight) so I imagine their recurves might be heavier . Fred

Several bowyers are firmly convinced they are a surperior design.
I don't really know other than the fact that I have found them enjoyeable to shoot.
Not: Not all face mounted designs have high brace heights.
