Dave, here's a photo of Jerry and I each holding one of Howards bows at Stinson's, the year was 1981

Thanks Bud for posting the pictures of my bow...am going to come out of retirement and start making the cedar bows again.

Ron, that bow in your hand looks like Howard's money bow...the one he did most of his exhibition shooting with.."White Eagle."  Will post some other pictures of it for everyone to see.

Dave, that was the day before the shoot started. When I tried on Howards shooting glove that night I told everyone that I felt a warm tingle go up my arm. I said, "I think Howard's telling me that I'm going to win the shoot this weekend."

AND I DID!

Bud

That is Tennessee Red Cedar.  It is the only wood I use for my bows.   Have tried a lot of different wood through the years, but red cedar makes a very light, responsive bow with little hand shock.

Hey Ron....Re: Howard's shooting glove.  Here is a picture of it in the display case along with a knife of Jerry Hill's.  The inscription under the glove says "Howard Hill's personal fingertips, He had a 9" wrist."
