My two Kanati longbows
« on: August 06, 2011, 08:50:00 AM »
I have a 2009 and a 2011. In 2010 Jason made some small changes. I think these changes are great. He narrowed the limbs, made the grip smaller and opened the sight window. Although I like the 09, the new one is fast becoming my favorite. Here are some pics. Jason, correct me if I am wrong.

Honestly, I can see no difference... I think you should send them to me for further analysis.

I made a huge mistake last night and let my husband shoot my 08' Kanati. I am just lucky that it is 10 pounds heavier than his bow and wore him out! He loved it.
Not saying I pull more than him. He draws 28 and I draw 23:)

I ordered a Kanati yesterday.  Can't wait until February!
I couldn't find one negative comment on Jason or his bows.  He's been great with communication and I'm positive I'm going to love this bow.

My number should be coming up soon. Hope he has his takedown ready to go. I love the one piece but a take down would be sweet.

The brown one (2009) is my backup now. I got so used to the grip on the new one (gray) that after my season ends in January I might sell the brown one and order another one. I also just like gray so much better.

Great looking Kanatis!

Yes, the grey one has the shape of the newer sight window!

Enjoy!

Yes, brand new as of July 2011.

It is my third KANATI and a fabulous shooter to boot!

No pictures as the camera is in Montana with my bride during the wheat harvest.

Keep the wind in your face!

Hi Bucky, I wish I had more time for the TD, I have done a few prototypes but it's just not what I want as of now. Hopefully someday I will be able to get after it again.

In regards to the grips, I try to make them all similar but I do it by feel mainly. I have an average size hand and I just go with that, I can make them larger or smaller on request but most finish 4.5 around the throat & 5.5 around the heal. It's all part of the "Handcrafted" thing, since I dont have a CNC they will vary a little, but not much   :D

Thank you all for your feedback and your business!

Hi Jason,I understand about the grip but was I right about you changing the sight window a bit? I feel the new one is "opened" up a bit.It looks like the shelf material makes a 90 degree angle.

Yep, I have opened them up a bit over the years.
