Here's one I made this spring:

I bought one from Theresa Asbell at Tannehill in the spring, and I think I'm really going to like it. But, so far, in this 100 degree weather, I just haven't been able to bring myself to  shoulder a wool bag when I shoot. Therefore, I have not adequately tested it.

I can't stand having my wallet in my back pocket while driving. Plus wrangling my keys, and cell phone,I almost want to carry a Haversack on a daily basis...does anybody do that? Or am I crossing into purse territory.   :dunno:

I do that same thing reverrat...real men did it for centuries!  :)  Pockets are a relatively new invention in the scheme of things.  I have an Osprey shoulder pack and an Army surplus rucksack that I often use.  Plus, I weight a $1.25, and that much in my pocket will literally pull my britches down!

riverrat, for years my "purse" was a ten dollar camo fannypack from K-Mart. Lightweight cotton with a plethora of pockets. Just sling it over your shoulder and saunter forth in all your manly glory! Plus, when at a gun show or in the vendors' tent, you can buckle it around your waist and have your hands free to fondle the merchandise. And your wallet is still ever so handy...   :goldtooth:

Riverrat, nothing wrong in carrying a shoulder bag. I carry one all the time here in Oregon. It is a Frost River Grand Marais mail bag that is waxed canvas. Works great in wet weather also. Most folks are smart enough not to say too much to me about it.

Riverrat,
I guess it's o.k.to wear one in public but I would only carry it over your neck and down one side of your body but "NEVER: EVER let me see ya carry it on your inside elbow like an old lady would when shopping cause I'll think you're a little different then most men...  :biglaugh:

Hey Bel007---thanks for the guidance on finding the GFA haversacks.  Would you believe I clicked every other link EXCEPT that one?

Many years ago, Roger Rothhaar exposed me to the convenience of haversacks and I found one at Cabela's.  I have had it for at least 20 years now---it is a camo model made of some sort of soft material.  Works pretty good but beginning to wear a bit.

Sure are a lot of nice "manpurses" in here---I like all of them.
