This is one I made out of one of my halfmount bears backskin. In the pics it is loaded with blackpowder stuff, but I use it for bow season also if hunting for the day or 3D weekend shoots. The strapo is from an elk I had tanned.

Wore camo waistpack until switching to trad. Carried way too much cmpnd nonsense!

Wear also a canteen w/long strap to position out of the way of my BQ. KISS method fixed me on simple 1-bag either of these 2 (prefer the green) holding these essentials;

If useful your bag works for me. No color coordinating. Charlie, you had me laughing big on the other thread. Plinker, way nice stuff there partner!

If I'm not mistaken Bjorn's bag is the same bag that I use. If so it is the LL Bean small, canvas
messenger bag. I find it to be perfect for my needs. I liked it so much I got the larger one for everyday use, but its especially nice when you travel by air.   :thumbsup:

Here's mine...

The Bison Gear haversacks are pretty good sized. I usually carry an extra knife, 50' of paracord, rubber gloves/ziplock bags, flashlight, headlamp, tags, a couple bottles of water/snacks, a compass, and a stocking cap and gloves if it's cold. There's also slots on the bottom for 1" webbing straps, so if I need it I can roll up a coat or rainwear and strap it to the bottom.

Hey Roy, it looks like RC has done that up like a light weight set of web gear. Where the two straps are wrapped together would run up your spine and the open straps would go over your shoulders like backpack straps. Very slick idea RC!
