What do you all do to a new leather arm guard to prevent game from smelling it or dose it mater?

If they can smell it they can smell you.

Like Randy just said! Doesn't matter. They don't care about the smell of the armguard -- they care about YOUR smell! And regardless of what some folks say, you can't eliminate your own scent, only reduce it (which is never a bad idea). Keeping the animals upwind is probably the most important thing a hunter can do. Even when animals see or hear you, they often do not spook, but let them get a whiff of human scent and ... goodbye!    :wavey:

It's a valid question especially down South (now home of over 40 days of 100+ temps and no rain   ) b/c your leather can get repeatedly saturated with sweat and really stink things up (more than usual).  I spray this kind of stuff with a silver spray like Primos and it really gets rid of the sweat odor - but I'm not responsible for any effects on the leather.  ;)   I don't know if other stuff works just as well or is easier on the leather b/c this is all I have used.
