Limbs for Hoyt Gamemaster riser, what works?
« on: August 09, 2011, 01:35:00 PM »
So I have a Hoyt Gamemaster with #55 factory limbs. I don't shoot the bow much but will never get rid of it because of some history I have with the bow. So I was wondering about putting a different set of limbs on the riser for plinking around and such. Perhaps a lighter set and maybe even a heavier set later. Can anyone provide me with some input on what limbs will work with the Hoyt riser without modification? Will only Hoyt limbs work or are there others I can look for? Oh, and not looking for megabuck limbs, really just want to know what to look for in classifieds and such to pick up some extra limbs here and there.

Thanks

DAS Daala limbs, Tradtech Black Max carbons are good choices & can be picked up used.  They are good performers at a good price point.

Easy to swap out the ILF or DAS bushings & install Hoyt.  May have to slightly file the end of the limb butts & seal with finger nail polish.

If you buy the TT limbs new from Lancaster, they will even install the bushings for you & ship the bow to you.
