A quick squirrel Tale (and thanks Tom Mussatto)
« on: January 13, 2007, 12:11:00 PM »
just got my first squirrel!!  sorry no pics  :)   i hunted in the mountains all morning. saw plenty and had a couple nice stalks but didn't even take a shot.  too bad deer season is out here too, had a four pointer and a big six come in under thirty yards.  they didn't see me until i decided to just draw the bow and count coup.
long story short i get home and i've got three squirrels in the woods by the house.  the Great Northern 61@28, cedar arrow made by my dad, and a Tom Mussatto style 357 casing with a bleeder blade.  i couldn't beleive the damage it did.  i just love huntin' squirrels  :)

so... thanks Tom Mussatto for  sharing your wisdom and putting the how-to for those heads on your website, and thanks again tradgang for letting me share!

enjoy the day,
Kyle

oh, and i found my arrow perfectly ready to fly again!  (i must have soaked up some of Nook's good arrow juju)  :)
