Ryan,

Looks great and it seems you had fun putting it together.  Like your composure under camera!!!

Since you've got video equipment, have you thought about doing a "how to make your own home made yarn wool puffs and install" video?
The only problem with those yarn balls is they look like dead rats when they get wet.

Great Knot you are using on the first cinch Ryan.   :clapper:   i gotta give that one a try.

Thanks!

Very well done video.  Just seems to be a little overkill on how many times you tie the knots...and they slide anyway.  I like to put mine thru the string to keep them in place.

I always wanted to know how to get the whiskers "puffy" like that - mine always kinda would lay limp.
Thx!

Thanks Gang!!!

LA Trapper,
I appreciate the kind words.  Being on camera is 10 times harder than I thought!!!!

Koko Bow,
Please keep in mind that I'm using the thicker, round strand cat whiskers.  Trying to get the thinner strand cat whiskers to "puff up" is a little more difficult.

Thanks,
Ryan

Wow, I've been doing it poorly for decades!  This was one of the most helpful posts for me since I signed on Trad Gang! I recently traded bows with RW. RW sent the bow with a string that had perfect Cat Whiskers on it. I  had no idea how he did it but now I think I know!

Thank-you

Bowwild,
You're welcome!  I'm glad it helped, it's the reason we spend so much time putting these things together.

Aloha!

Very timely for me as I have a couple of strings to "re-whisker". NOW, I have an idea of what to do.
Well done, good humour too.
Thanks.

Well done Ryan! Those knots are key.

Nice job on the video bud, even learned a few tricks myself although we do it in a very similar way, but will use a clothespin for sure from now on.  One of those "why didn't I think of that" moment for sure.  Sweet!
I just ordered about 25ft of fine rubber skirt material in different colors so will be putting alot of this to use very soon!
Holler if you don't have a source for material and I can hook ya up, very inexpensive and can get it in regular and fine thickness as well as in many colors.
5 different 5ft lengths of 1in wide material with S/H only cost me about $17.
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

For a great tutorial on doing yarn puffs look for the one that Apex Predator did on this site awhile back, it was very good!

Glad I could help Tom!

Thanks Snag,
Hawaii to Nova Scotia! Thanks to Trad Gang!!!

Hey Mark,
I'll be sure to contact you about those rubber skirt materials.  Thanks for the offer.  Really appreciate it!

Buckwheaties,
I guess you know what I do for a living. LOL!  I'm glad it worked!

Thanks again for all the kind words.  I'll be sure to post more videos in the future!

Aloha!
Ryan
