The Dakota is back!!!
« on: August 14, 2011, 07:00:00 PM »
Haven't been on the 'gang much lately but I just checked Bob's website and he's bringing the 1-pc Dakota back into production.  Looks like I need to be a good boy and talk real nice to Santa while I still have the chance.

I have been asking him about that... now I just need money!

Yup, wish he would bring back the Arapaho recurve as well. That was one of the quietest and fastest recurves I ever owned, my son-in-law now has it. I had a brief brain fart and gave it to him for his B-Day one year! Shawn

Just went to the Morrison websight.  He is bringing back the Arapaho also.

I have a light-poundage Arapaho that I love, and wished I could get another in my hunting weight. Gonna see how a Chinook behaves.
I should have all my bow-buying done sometime in the next three grand, right?

Killie, The Arapaho is coming back also. I'm playing with riser design, Trying to get a little more physical weight into the bow. Any feed back is needed. The original forms are being used, just playing with riser design.

I hate to break it to you, Killie, but there is no such thing as "done"!  Save your pennies and plan your next shopping trip.  Hey, you only go around once, my friend  :bigsmyl:  !!

The arapaho was the best one piece recurve I ever had. If it had a bit more riser weight it would be unbelievable.
That same riser would be killer in a longbow too.

Where are you guys (and gal) seeing this info on his website.  I'm sure I'm spacing out somehow.

:notworthy:  This is great news !! When Bob stopped making the Dakota I freaked out and sold my 1966 Kodiak that took me years to find and favorite longbow so I could buy another Dakota in case I wore out my first one ! Guess I can sleep easier now with only two Dakotas by my bed   :goldtooth:
