My first "REAL" trad kill
« on: July 02, 2007, 10:17:00 PM »
I had a crappy day at work, found out that I'd be laid off again next week, so I came home and decided to blow off some steam and work out, since I've been shooting like crap lately. I worked out for a while and looked out back to see if my neighbor's groundhog was out, and there he was! I just got done tuning my new arrows yesterday, so I screwed on a new Muzzy Phantom and slid out the door. I sneak along the hedges untill I can't go anymore, then peer through, he's still there, but moving away from me. I've been shooting at 20 yds alot, but no further, this groundhog is out cose to 30 ( sorry, guys and girls, but old wheelie habits like estimating yardage die hard). I couldn't move, so I figured the only thing in the playbook was the "Hail Mary", so I stood up and DRILLED HIM!!!  :bigsmyl:

CONGRATS, BMFER!!  Groundhogs are a pretty tough quarry.  Sorry to hear about the layoff.  That's pretty tough, too.

Thanks Fletcher, but the layoff isn't a big thing. I'm not LOSING my job, we're just slow now. It only upset me because I had my eye on something.
