My Hill was staring at me
« on: August 15, 2011, 12:19:00 PM »
I was putting away the bows from this weekends Muzzy shoot when I looked at my rack and saw my Big Five just sitting there with dust on it. Well I got it down strung it up and pulled out some woodies. It took a little bit but I'm getting dialed back in. I'm putting the high tech stuff down and going back to my roots. My Hill and some wood this fall, look out deer here we come   :archer2:

It is more than just the longbow, it is a total shooting system that surrounds a shooting and hunting philosophy.  the total Hill style package is addictive, flexible and compatible with most hunting situations. I just bought a Groves Spitfire Magnum, it is fast for the draw weight, I can blow nocks off my arrows like a crazy man, but I shoot twice as fast and nearly as accurate with my Hill style bows. My main bows for the starting of the year will be a yew Pete George lh and my own bamboo/yew rh. I just love the feel of a 68" longbow for small game and spot and stalk hunting.

I'm gonna have nightmares!!!

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
