What clear finish over gloss
« on: August 15, 2011, 06:50:00 PM »
I have high gloss white caps on some Douglas Fir shafts I'm finishing but the last batch with water based poly ended up looking bad after a few rounds into the targets. The finish got burned quickly.

What durable finish will go over the 100% high gloss acrylic?

Suggestions? I have clear polyurethane but wasn't sure how it would go with the gloss acrylic.

Thanks.

Zip Guard, water base poly use there gloss finish and steel wool to a satin finish. I have been using it for 25 years.
