Well after a shoulder injury this winter my target and hunting bow is a 47# BushWacker shooting 2016 with Woodsmans upfront for hunting and cedar arrows for shoots.

I'm glad this bow will produce as well as it does because I still struggle with anything heavier.

thanks for the input guys.

It will be interesting to watch the tradbow design over the next few yrs as the baby boomer drop their draw weight since it seems like a lot of tradbow hunters are in the babyboomer generation.  I was shooting with some fellows last weekend that were 10 yrs or so older than me (i'm 63 soon 64).  A number of them still hunted but the bow draw weight had been replaced with accuracy  :) ....adn some 'em geezer could shoot  :)

I'm pretty much with Jason.  I like to set up all my bows for hunting, with as heavy a draw weight and as heavy an arrow as I can manage well.  (Though, I do have a few bows that didn't make weight and are in the high 40's to mid 50's.)  I'm not interested in scores, per say.  I just want to be able to accurately shoot heavy gear that will slap monkey snot out of anything I encounter.

For a couple rounds of arrows, I really don't see a difference in accuracy between light and heavy setups.  It's only when I start shooting repeated ends at the butts where fatigue takes its toll.

Ditto, Big Dave.
