New Bow (Journeyman Longbow)
« on: August 22, 2011, 09:11:00 PM »
My dad and I attened the first Montshire Traditional Bow Shoot in New Hamshire. It was a great shoot. I placed 3rd in the Mens Recurve Division.

But now onto what the thread is about. I won the raffle that they had for a bow.

Its a 60" 50@28  Journeyman Longbow. Im not possitive but I think that it is zebra wood. It shoots super well. Im very happy with it overall.

Congrats.  Jared makes a real nice bow.  Just saw him at our archery club's shoot this weekend.  Jared donates bows to our raffles quite often and I never seem to have that lucky ticket. :)

Congrats on your new bow,I got one of Jared's 52" XS Recurves from the ST JUDES auction, and am very happy with it. For a 44#@28" it shoots hard,(I draw it to 29").Thinking of getting longer set of limbs for it.

That's one beautiful bow. Great design and stunning woods. Congrats, you are very lucky for sure. Congrats also on your shooting at the shoot!

I like Jarred a lot.  He is always thinking forward, improving little things.  Lots of pieces in that riser that make it stronger than wood alone.  He has a great website that shows his fixture and jig genius. Seems like he is always tinkering with limb angles, limb width, traps to improve his quality and performance.  This guy will be known before his career is done.  Leftyfred

So far im very pleased with the Journeyman Longbow. It really zips an arrow for being 50 pounds. Also there is little to no hand shock. One thing I like about it is I have been having a very easy time switching back and forth from my Schafer and it and there is over a 10 pound weight difference.  :)

about 12 yards in my basement.

C'mon Joe, don't encourage him. It's bad enough getting beat by 20 points!  :help:
